Film Star Michael Douglas turned his head back and smiled at us while I was joking with my little girl on Swansea Seafront

The day we saw that poor girl fall from her bike onto the rocks by Blackpill Bridge (Swansea seafront,) was the same day famous actor Michael Douglas smiled at us.

My little girl had talked me into buying a beach lilo for the outdoor paddling pool along Swansea Seafront near Blackpill Bridge and Mumbles. I was just putting the change away in my purse and she was off as fast as she could to try it out in the children's open air paddling pool. I shouted out to her "that lilo is bigger than you" and laughed. A very handsome, well dressed man turned his head and smiled at us both. Of my gosh, he looked just like actor Michael Douglas, I thought to myself. At the time I thought no it is just a coincidence.

Last night, my friend and I went out to get a take away and we saw a local paper with an article about Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones, and it confirmed they had been here in Swansea when I saw him. When I told my little girl we saw a very famous American film star by the Swansea outdoor paddling pool she said "Mummy I could not see anything as the lilo was so big." Bless!

Then when I told my friend Lyndsey she said "yes, that would have been Michael Douglas." I thought to myself I can see exactly what Catherine Zeta-Jones sees in him. He has a lovely smile, and kind nature about him and is very handsome. When I read that he thinks he has been a bad farther because of his career, I felt so sorry for him. All he was doing was providing for his children. It is not his fault his son got in with the wrong people. I really hope his son pulls himself together and makes his Dad proud as he is lucky to have a farther that cares.

Lyndsey's Mum and Dad go out with Catherine Zeta-Jones parents quite frequently. And Lyndsey went to school with Catherine Zeta-Jones and Bony Tyler. Life is never dull here in Swansea!

The Little Princess film was similar to my Nan's (Louise Sybil Stanley Myles) story but far, far worse

I wanted to upload a picture of my Nan, Louise Sybil Stanley Myles, the reason I cannot is another story. I am glad I have my Nan's strength, she never gave up either! So instead here is a picture of her on this video. And the funny thing is she is holding a monkey like the money in the Little Princess film. I am searching for old photographs and history on my Nan (Louise Sybil Stanley Myles.) She had a very sad childhood, and I wish share her story at the Universal Children's Day in November in Hastings E. Sussex.

Last night I watched the Little Princess film with my little angel. She enjoyed the story as much as I did when I first watched it with my Nan in front of her old gas hire, but we watched the original one with Shirley Temple, a total classic. This Little Princess story was similar to Nan's childhood true story. Sadly there was no happy ending for Nan and her brothers, and they endured far worse.

Although I wish to trace pictures of my Great Great Grandmother LeFever, and wish to trace her family for pictures of my Great Great Grandad Robert Hartland Stanley Myles. I wonder if pictures of my Great Nan Winifred Josephine, Nan and her brothers were kept. Or binned? I wonder if they know the family secret?

Last night I looked up at the sky and it was as if their was the letter "S" circling the moon in a beautiful orange colour. I took a picture and the moon became a heart. I wonder if that was Nan showing me she is looking down on me.

Have you ever suffered some sort of racist attack? It is amazing how the old wars still haunt us and play a big part in racism against those that had nothing to do with what our ancestors did. I could tell you some true stories, ones that you would not believe could happen in this day and age. I love and adore my Nan, but I am glad I my skin was white when I was growing up as otherwise I would have been picked on at school like my brother, and my dear friend Mandy, who is liaising with me re Universal Children's Day.

But even being white and being British has it's down falls. The War again, and again, it never goes away and people never forget, which is a good thing sometimes, as we need to remember those that lost their lives. But don't blame individual people for what happened years ago or for what is happening today, as we are all different and have our own set of values and most people today know wrong from right.
