Blue Nose Bunny Tatty Teddy Flopsy

When we went to Weymouth for the Sailing Olympics to visit family we had a look around Weymouth's Pamperred Pets and met Flopsy the very cute bunny rabbit. Little Snowflake fell in love with Flopsy and named him Flopsy because of his very floppy ears. I wonder if anyone has brought him? He was full of bouncy personality a real character! She so wanted to take him home but I don't think Cindy Woo would have been too impressed our black Easter Bunny rabbit. Meet Cindy Woo:

As you can see from the above photograph of Flopsy, Little Snowflake made him into a Blue Nose Toy character like the Tatty Teddies which she also adores. Here is Little Snowflake showing you how to draw one of the Tatty Teddy Blue Nose Toys. At the end of this video I think there is a picture of Cindy Woo our pet Bunny Rabbit in the paddling pool with Little Snowflake:

Just take a look at Cindy Woo in the rain, she hated our paddling pool when Little Snowflake took her for a dip but just loved sitting in the rain this year when we let her out before she decided to adventure over the fence to the next doors neighbours.

I think if we had moved down to Weymouth and brought Flopsy the Bunny rabbit from Pampurredpets our Cindy Woo Bunny would have bitten him just like she bit Toothless, Little Snowflakes Christmas toy. Yes I think we can honestly say Cindy Woo gets jealous of rivals!

Daddy lost his glasses in Weymouth again!

Little Snowflakes Daddy lost his glasses in Weymouth yet again. Can you believe it? So far in the 11 years of knowing him he must have lost and broken well over 8 pairs of glasses, if not more. He is one high maintenance Daddy! Thought I would have a look through our videos to see what sort of glasses he has on to the ones he has lost. Damn I should have created more videos of him so I would have an exact count. Maybe I should contact his Opticians and ask them. When they called up to say his new glasses are ready for collection I asked "can you buy a device with a phone number option so if anyone finds them they can call you?" Then I said please make sure he gets a string to go round his neck like older people have so he does not lose this pair!

Lost glasses again in Weymouth so could not wear them to Paddy's house for the BBQ. He still managed to sing though!

Does your partner lose everything. Leave us a funny comment below.

Best Watercolour pencils for kids

Children love to paint but it can get messy. Watercolour pencils are brilliant and easy for children to use. Here are just a few children watercolour pencil art projects with Little Snowflake child artist, the characters are blue nose tatty teddy toys.

How to earn money for kids children

How can your child earn money to buy their own toys through the year? If you are a parent on a low salary struggling with high living costs you are going to want to find a way for your child to earn there own money to take the pressure off your bank balance. With so much advertising for toys all year round it really does make life difficult for parents who are not financially well off! So it is time for our children to start to earn their own money and learn how to save up for the special things in life. Every single child has a gift, what is your child's talent? My little girls talent is drawing, singing and making people laugh. I used to spend all my pocket money on sweets when I was little, but when I got older I used to save up for records. Yes ho hum I am showing my age now. This will make you laugh! I used to wash up for my Mum for 50p a week, my sister used to get a £1 for watching! Lets just say that my poor Mum has been ill all my life so even though I moaned about how unfair it was I still helped my Mum because I love her! And as for my sister well life has not been kind to her so I am the lucky one!

ACEO ART CARDS - SELL ON EBAY AND OTHER WEBSITES

As you can see above my little girl has created a very cute art card which is called an ACEO. Artists sell these on Ebay and other websites. The drawing is of Binky the Panda one of the Blue Nose Tatty Teddy toys. I hope to get my little girl a fan following so she can sell her little art cards to earn money to buy the toys she really wants. In this case it is the Tatty Teddy's.

Here is Little Snowflake showing you how to draw Binky the Panda Bear the Butterfly Lullaby way:

What ideas do you  have re children earning their own money to buy their own toys? Leave a comment below!

WEBSITE FOR PARENTS AND CHILDREN - CRB DATABASE

I am fighting for a CRB check database website for parents and children so we can show off our children's talent in a safe environment away from the Gremlins. A place where struggling parents and children can sell old and new things with no fees. We could even sell original downloads for songs, stories and art and craft templates. The advertising would pay for this website and it is time our world gave back and supported true old fashioned family values where children are put first! Heck there is enough money spent on sports.

A CHILD'S RIGHT TO SHINE

Imagine going to see your child perform in the Grand theatre and being able to share the video with friends, family and people who really care about children in a safe child friendly environment! When my little girl sang at the Grand Theatre and we were not allowed to video her singing in front of a huge audience I was really ashamed at how the Internet has got away with not being family or child friendly for far too long! Hopefully MP Claire Perry will force our Western world to change for our children's sake!

My little girl's voice singing Heal the world at school with her artwork:

I videoed her voice when she sang at the Grand Theatre because she is proud of what she has achieved. It takes guts to sing a solo on your own at a very young age! There are many wonderful Welsh people in Wales, but like everywhere you get some that are brainwashed to hate thanks to old history!

Here is a website with more ideas on how kids can earn money by cutting the grass and making things:

Weymouth Olympic Holiday

We have just spent three weeks in Weymouth with Grandma and Grandpa for the Weymouth Olympics. Only sad that we will miss the Weymouth Paralympics. I am not a sports person but feel proud that the Olympics and Paralympics have been held in Great Britain the Country where I was born.

Here is a little video footage I took when we were down in Weymouth for the Sailing Olympics. As a family we could not afford £50 a ticket to watch the sailing so just watched it on TV. But we felt part of the event by just walking up and down the beach and looking out to sea. I think this event has been a big wake up call for the rich to see that the less fortunate are not able to pay out big amounts to watch events due to high living costs and low salaries!

Free photo as Wenlock sailing in Weymouth.

Prince William and Kate did come down to Weymouth to wish Sailing Team GB good luck. The Weymouth Carnival made me giggle!

I managed to catch Team GB on film at the Weymouth Carnival!

We love Weymouth. It is always busy through the summer months. And a great place for children. Here is my partner singing "I want to go home!" Funny enough I met him when I was on holiday with my family in Weymouth. He was one of the Holiday camp Singing duo's. Eleven years later our daughter is now singing in the school choir. Who knows if we can manage to make it back to Weymouth she can join WOW which is where her Daddy went to learn how to act and sing.

This is Little Snowflake our little girl singing Heal the World with her artwork.

Weymouth gig 2012

Weymouth Gig in Paddy's shed August 2012. The following videos will make you laugh and make you cry! Singer Jakson Lee has lived in Weymouth nearly all his life. We moved to Wales over 10 years ago and want to go back home to England to be closer to family and old friends.

Jakson Lee singing I want to go home. If you would like to hear Jakson Lee gig in Weymouth leave a kind comment!

Paddy said he is always searching for his talent. Well I think Paddy's talent is making people laugh! Here are Weymouth singer Jakson Lee's Weymouth groupies Paddy and Pete. They certainly made me laugh!

When Jakson Lee was with the Weymouth Duo Phase 2, Paddy, Amanda and family were huge fans. Even Amanda's Mum used to love to see them sing. Paddy tried to help my partner to achieve his musical goals and helped him financially to get a mixing desk. Paddy would make a terrific music manager for my partner as he really believes in his talent and is a very funny guy! Here they are singing together at Paddy's BBQ.

Jakson Lee singing another well known song. I met him over 11 years ago in Weymouth when he sang with Phase 2. My sister said "You have to come down to the club Sharon and see these two guys sing, they are brilliant!" And yes I was amazed at his beautiful sweet voice. Not many singers can sing live like George Michael, but he certainly can!

I wonder where we will be this time next year. Hopefully in Weymouth as my little girl wants to join Daddy and gig on the Weymouth beach.

Here is our daughters voice singing Heal the World at school! Hopefully one day the Internet will give children like my little girl a real platform to perform in a safe family environment so they can really shine! She is an amazing little artist too, what do you think of her drawings?

Jakson Lee singing Nessun Dorma at the Enchanted Manor in the Isle of Wight, England. Fairy artist Josephine Wall loved his voice and so did the American Kirks Folly from QVC TV.

Jakson Lee sings the best wedding song ever, Butterfly Kisses:

Just one of Jakson Lee's original songs for my story Colour me a fairies wish which we worked on together. My story is read out by a famous man from children's TV. Guessed who it is yet?

Jakson Lee singing our Wishing Well song (Upwey Wishing Well Weymouth Dorset.) Part of the Butterfly Lullaby fairy story where the fairies travel through the wishing wells to get from one place to another.

Dance like a butterfly song by me and Jakson Lee:

Fingers and toes crossed the fairies can get us back to Weymouth, Dorset to laugh again with Paddy's family and friends. I will leave you with the Butterfly Lullaby book launch where Jakson Lee was meant to sing live!

Shark Weymouth

Shark Weymouth Dorset Echo August 2012. Olympic Sailing!

Guess who could have got bitten by a shark in Dorset seas? Yes little old me! We were staying in Weymouth with my partners Mum and Dad for the Sailing Olympics. My little girl wanted to go fossil hunting so they took us out to a lovely fishing village in Bridport (West Bay, Dorset.)  My little girl was looking for fossils and I wanted to go for a swim. There I was on the beach longing to go swimming in our British sea and worrying about Jaws and what would I do if a shark attacked me or my little girl? I joked with my Mother and Father in law about how I always swim in shallow waters and never go higher than my waist, just in case Jaws the shark decides to take a nibble!

First, I go down to the rocks and search for fossils with my little girl. When she pulls up the fishing net it catches on my leg and it starts to bleed a wee bit. There I am thinking I want to go for a swim but sharks can smell blood from a long way away. Then I tell myself to stop being so silly as British Sharks do not attack humans. Well that is what we have been told all our life!

My little girl and I decided to take a dip in the cold British Waters and my little girl decides to go back and get her crocks as the stones are quite hard to tread on. There I am up to my waist in the water when the life guard comes over to me and says "GET OUT OF THE WATER!" My immediate thought is "SHARK!" I asked him "Is there a SHARK in the water?" He replies "YES!" I think to myself calm down our British Sharks are harmless. I then ask him "Do they BITE?" As soon as he replied "YES" I was out of that water as quick as you could say SHARK ATTACK!

When I told Mum and Dad they did not really believe it as we are brought up thinking that our British Seas has harmless sharks. Mum asked the life guard is there a shark in the water? He replied I have just come on duty and it is probably a Dolphin. Lets face it if the Life Guards had shouted SHARK, everyone from the Beach would have disappeared! Bit like Jaws really!

I CAUGHT A SHARK IN NZ (1990's!)

In the 90's I caught a 3 ft shark in New Zealand, of course we put him back into the sea! Don't fancy ever swimming with Sharks!

Here is the Bridport news about the shark that was in the water the day I decided to go for a swim:

http://www.bridportnews.co.uk/news/9874187.West_Dorset__West_Bay_beach_cleared_after_blue_shark_sighting/

When I got back to Weymouth I decide to do some research on shark attacks in British Waters. Especially as my little girl really wanted to go for a swim in the Weymouth sea. I came across a story about a women that had saved a shark where we had just been swimming in Bridport. And also many other true stories about sharks in British Sea Waters.

DORSET ECHO WEYMOUTH - SHARK SIGHTING (AUGUST 2012)

The next day or so Dad shows me the Dorset Echo and the shark sighting story. Well you have to admit our life certainly is not dull!

http://www.dorsetecho.co.uk/news/localnews/9870406.Swimmers_evacuated_from_West_Bay_after_sighting_of_blue_shark/

SHARKS IN BRITISH WATERS

I think you will find this website re shark attacks in British Waters very interesting. Thankfully the shark attacks in Weymouth are by sharks that are just defending themselves. No fatal attacks on swimmers as far as I am aware. And when my little girl and I went for a swim in the Weymouth sea the water was clear and warm. Ok we only went in as far as my little girls waist but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Hopefully one day we will move back to Weymouth so we can go swimming more often. I wonder if you can buy shark repellent?

Paralympic film The Best of men

When we were in Weymouth for the Sailing Olympics 2012 we watched an amazing film with Grandma about how the Paralympics first began. It is all thanks to a very determined doctor called Dr Ludwig Guttman who refused to treat spinal injured soldiers differently to any other war soldier. He saved their life in more way than one and gave them something to live for. The film The Best of Men is a totally brilliant British film, which sadly I am unable to show you a clip of. But here is a play based on Dr Ludwig Guttman and his courage to save our British Soldiers, the hospital was called Mandeville and that is why our British Paralympic Mascot is called Mandeville. If you get a chance to watch the film The Best of Men you will celebrate the Paralympics more than the Olympics as these athlete's are people to be really proud of!

Here is my painting of Mandeville! My little girl is my biggest fan and wants to keep this painting.

The Founder of the Paralympics: Dr Ludwig Guttman. Here is a video created by his Great Grandchildren of the unveiling of his Bronze statue.

I want to wish Madison who is related to us through my Great Grandad the best of luck in the London Paralympics. We so wish we could meet her!

http://www.paralympic.org.au/team/madison-de-rozario

I have not blogged for over three weeks because I have been in Weymouth with family. We did not go and see the Sailing Olympics as we are not rich and the tickets cost £50 each. But I did get to video the Sailing Atheletes at the Weymouth Carnival on the bus drinking champagne. I also had a grave escape from a shark in British Waters, but that true story is for another blog so come back to hear more true stories!
