Best family Christmas present is ...

Best family Christmas present is love and understanding. Not being forced to partake in buying presents for everyone when you are financially struggling. There is nothing worse than being made to feel you have to buy presents for people because it is expected of you.

BIG THANK YOU TO MY FAMILY

I want to send a big thank you to my Family for not expecting me to buy presents each year because of tradition. Presents used to seem so important to me when I was younger. Life has taught me that people are the ones that matter and that there is a serious need for us all to try and change our materialistic world into a kinder one.

If you know anyone in your family that is financially struggling, tell them presents are not important and that it is ok to just buy for their own children and leave the worrying for another day.

I enjoy Christmas more these days with no presents for myself around the tree, because it has taught me the true value of Christmas and that is real love and compassion. And to be thankful for what we already have in each other.

P.S. Thank you Mum, Dad, Louise and Nan for the money you sent, this will help me pay for my little girls presents as she deserves to smile on Christmas morning. To all the struggling Mothers in the world, remember you are not alone and teamwork is the only way to move ahead so get in contact through Google+. Our little girls deserve a better future!

Make Christmas Thank You Postcards

Make Christmas Thank You Postcards for less! High quality blank postcards for only 30p each when you buy direct through me. Less in bulk!

My daughter is an amazing little artist. All these images are based on her original drawings, which you can see in pencil. I recreated all the images as Postcard designs and made embellishments out of friendly plastic, she of couse instructed me on which colours to use!

Christmas Snow Girl

This is a great Christmas craft for Children as it teaches them to be thankful for everything they get, it is always polite to write and say thank you to family and friends! I drew her image on plain white paper and used her watercolour pencils to colour them in. Outlined the image with a black pen, cut it out and stuck it to the postcard using a glue stick. You can of course take a good quality image and reproduce the drawings by getting them printed on 4x6 inch photo paper and sticking them to the postcard. Gives them a lovely professional finish. Not all Photo printing services print the exact size so beware!

Months in a year Homeschool

Months in a year - Homeschool

I love this piece of work my little girl created. She has written down all the months in a year and how many days by each month. We also included the seasons. Shame the lighting is so dull in the house, perhaps Santa will drop off Mummy a scanner for Christmas?

Thirty days hath September drawing

Thirty days hath September poem and drawing. I remember my Nan teaching me this poem. Really handy to know. I got my daughter to write it out and just love her art. Shame you cannot see it very well, the lighting in the house is hopeless.

You can find this poem anywhere on the Internet! Here is one handy link:

Christmas Maths Homeschool

CHRISTMAS MATHS - HOMESCHOOL

My little girl hates maths! I thought to myself "How am I going to make maths fun?" Christmas cheques arrived in the post this morning and there was my answer. I got her to add up all the money she received from family for Christmas and deduct what she had already spent.

One big problem, she wanted to buy the Sylvanian Campervan that I had already wrapped up for Christmas. I ended up letting her buy it off me with some of the Christmas money and replacing it with something else (hopefully she will not try and buy this item too!) Then I got her to search the internet for things she wanted to buy and list them down, working out if she could afford to buy them or not.

Maths made fun with shopping for toys!

Your pictures can sing child blog

Your pictures can sing child blog. Little Snowflake, now known as Snowdrop begged me to start a blog for her and I love the name "Your pictures can sing!" The Internet is the only free platform for children to shine when parents cannot afford stage school. Also it is a great way to earn pocket money to buy toys through Google adverts. What a business head my daughter has on her shoulders. Of course everything is monitored through Mummy and she does not have access to Email, Facebook, Twitter or You Tube etc.

Snowdrop's "Your Pictures can sing song"

She said she is not happy with the song so will be redoing the song Your Pictures can sing!

Here is Snowdrops latest version of her song "Your pictures can sing!" She also talks about her very own blog, which is monitored by Mummy. My daughter is so excited about earning her own money to buy more toys and hopefully one day do competitions if she can get Googles support to set up a Homeschool network to earn and learn! Her dream is to create an album like Daddy and sell it as a download and also sell Ebooks for arts and crafts. Not to mention her stories too! Imagine another way of learning and a career with the Internet away from bullying!

After watching this video her Uncle ordered a drawing from her based on the Tatty Teddy images she had drawn here on this video!

My daughter wants to write on her blog everyday as part of her school project. Seeing as she will be learning to spell as she types I think it is a great idea. She will of course still be using different websites for learning games like the www.bbc.co.uk/schools and www.primaryresourses.co.uk. Yesterday she did really well with her subtraction, especially as Maths is one subject she is not keen on.
